Cities are complex systems where infrastructure, governance, finance and people continuously interact. My work focuses on helping governments and institutions navigate this complexity through research-driven planning, strategic thinking and practical implementation.
Over the past five years, I have worked across urban governance, infrastructure planning, institutional development, municipal finance and policy research with state governments, Urban Local Bodies, development organisations and academic institutions. My experience spans city-level implementation, regional planning, performance assessment, infrastructure strategy, stakeholder engagement and knowledge development under programmes including the Smart Cities Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission and AMRUT.
I have contributed to projects involving urban observatories, metropolitan governance, municipal finance reform, regional planning, infrastructure assessment, tourism planning, water and sanitation, waste management and institutional strengthening. Whether working in the field with local governments or preparing policy recommendations for state-level reforms, my approach remains grounded in evidence, collaboration and implementation.
Alongside consulting, I actively engage in academic research and technical writing, exploring how data, technology and governance can strengthen urban systems and improve public service delivery.

Vikash Mishra’s CEPT University research developed a carbon credit toolkit and dashboard to help Ahmedabad convert municipal solid waste into financial value through carbon credit generation. The project shows how improved waste processing can reduce emissions while creating new revenue opportunities for the city.
